2 Buy or Not 2 Buy

I'm planning on keeping my K2 Merlins for teaching & crusing, but add Dynastar AutoDrive Carves (178's) for better carving & bumps. I can get this years skis/bindings for 1/2 price or wait and buy next years on a ProForm for a bit more. I tend to think the only change will be possibly in the graphics, but can't be sure.

Any opinions on buying this years' now or waiting. I know I wouldn't do it with a car, but what about skis?
