anyone been to Mt Baldy? i may have a chance to make a few so-cal turns next week. this place looks like its just my speed.

A bit off topic, but it brings to mind an article that I read in Skiing magazine about Mt Waterman a couple years ago:

Place sounded a bit like a mid-atlantic area in terms of its size and scope. Sounds like it would be pretty cool if you timed it right, but according to their website they will be closed for the time being until they get more snow (they are completely dependent on natural snow).

Another great resource for skiing Baldy and Waterman would be the First Tracks Online Western NA forum. Fairly frequent condition updates and trip reports.
