My daughter reports that Burlington got a record 32.5" of snow and the grandkids school opened on time today.

Northern VA could learn something from that.

I am on the road, not skiing. Some regrets about that but I am visiting family, that's important too. There will be plenty of skiing later. I was in Boston for 3 days with my wife's family and yesterday drove to Rochester, NY to be with my sister for a few days. I was tempted to take a side trip to the legendary little Snow Ridge on the Tug Hill plateau since the lake effect machine is really cranking. It turns out they are not open on Mondays and Tuesdays.

That's nuts. They canceled school here today in Greenbrier County and didn't even really get any snow. I'd say because today's high is like 15.
