Over 400"s one year!!!..Let it be this year..let it be this year..!!! Reading about the pioneers of Canaan is really interesting & one thing I didn't know was that Murray Dearborn had once ran CV area..He took me up to High Mountain next to MPC 16 years ago to look for a lot to buy but the neighbors scared me off with tales of 18 foot Snowdrifts & 70 below windchills, so I bought a lot lower down at 3000' & close to the main drag...& the rest is history..

Good read, indeed. I love local skiing history. The golden age of alpine skiing had to be the post-war period peaking with the Winter Olympic Games in Squaw Valley.
