Just checking if anyone was going to be in the Valley for Thanksgiving. We will be heading up early 11/24. Weather is looking like a chance of snow smile

I always think of Thanksgiving weekend in the valley as a success if you can go sledding. Fortunately most years that has been possible.

Couldn't get any better than last year at TL..Toughest thing was walking thigh high in snow till you could get to a groomed path to walk on..The huge whales they had built up were a blast to play on. Had my 78 year old Dad sleding with us too!

Unfortunately, none of the area ski resorts are opening slopes for this week/weekend. Canaan is slated to open on Dec. 11th, Timberline lists Dec. 10th, and the news this morning said Snowshoe will open Dec. 4th. There's not been enough snow and cold for a good opening so far.
