How many of you guys have spent some time getting the feel for you boots?? I can't be the only crazy one. Right??
I was very surprised to learn that some guys wear underwear when they do this.

I'm having a hard time understanding which was the surprise... That some wear just underwear? Or that they even wear that much?

On another note, did anyone else have a list of toll free numbers for resort snow reports as a kid. Growing up in SW Ohio I probably had arouond 8 or so around the country that I'd call just to hear about fresh snow (obviously this was pre-internet). The only one I remember is Hunter Mtn. 800-FOR-SNOW which I'll still call on occasion.
I'd also fill out the info cards in the back of the ski magazines so resorts would send me info; all I really wanted were trail maps to put up on my wall. I still remember studying maps from Mt. St. Anne, Killington, Alta, Park City West (aka the Canyons), Canaan, and Snowshoe (w/ the Hawthorne Trail)and dreaming about skiing them some day.

Same way with me Madmonk!..+ I would call places & inquire about reservations when all I wanted was a weather report!..Got all the brochures & couldn't wait till Oct to get them....Fun Stuff.
