Southwest is having a sale. BWI to Manchester is $25 each way and no baggage fees. Manchester is 2-3 hrs from a lot of great ski areas. Some restricted dates and no Sundays, but still a great deal. This is cheaper than driving!

Sale ends 10/29 at midnight.

How about to SLC from BWI or IAD for approx $100 each way. That includes the morning nonstop from BWI and the mid afternoon nonstop return flight.
I must start to plan!

Does anyone have thoughts on Bretton Woods or Loon in NH? Also, how dicey is it to book a trip there for the middle of December? Would Vermont make more sense?

Bretton Woods is the better bet. It is just west of the Presidential Range which presents a wall of 4500 ft. of vertical relief. Storms coming from the west back up there and dump. I'll be at Bretton Woods for a PSIA event Dec. 15-17. Unfortunately I can't use the deal because the travel window ends on the 16th. Loon is an OK mountain but rather flat, gets less snow and draws big Boston crowds.

Steve,

Thanks for the heads-up! My Ding widget is having firewall issues...

Travel must be completed by Feb 10, so this is for early season trips. Just booked Jan 29th to Feb 5th for the Epic Utah gathering. $232 including all fees, etc.

How's the ski-Ferrari concept coming along?

A pretty good deal. I already had tickets to Manchester in Jan. Traded those in and added my son for $3. SW is really winning me over.

We flew into Manchester From BWI a few years back & it was a good deal then!...Drove to North Conway..Spent the night & skied The T-Giving opening at Wildcat(What a View!!) with a couple of top to bottom runs open. Then the Snow came down & we slid off into a ditch on the way over to Sunday River..Got out & spent 2 days Skiing Sunday River & then to see a lobsterman Friend in Coastal Maine for Lobser Heaven!!..Sunday river is not that far from Manchester so don't overlook that option...Love the Manchester option!!!!
