Every month shows above ave Temps from the West to the extreme NW....Heat goes up one side..& then Cold & Snow drops down to the EAST!!...The Almanac might be on to something!..untill then...Gone fishin!
PS..Ck out that major blocking pattern in March Giving us a Grand finale to end the season!!

Fish was quoting the European Weather Model for the US Winter of 09-10. I have seen similar forcasts for a colder and snower than normal winter in the midAtlantic states.
Several articles in newspapers about this forecast, not for us in the East but for Whistler and BC in Canada in general...warmer than normal not good for the Olympics.

Forgot about the olympics this year..Hope they squeeze out a good one..

If this and Bastardi's forcast are even half correct, we could have one of the best ski seasons in a decade in the mid-atlantic. I might want to get a pair of junk boards for what may surely be epic glade skiing. I'm past ready for the season! We need to get our t-line buddies together and mark off up some "special" lines on the hill. wink
