Liberty is replacing the Eastwind lift on the backside, but what unusual to me is this:

First Class Area Quad Chairlift - Continuing forward with our commitment to the "Beginner Experience", the bottom lift station of the First Class Area Quad has been remounted and now sits four feet higher than it has in years past. Loading the chairlift will now be much easier for our beginner and first-time skiers and boarders.

Anyone care to comment, I'm not seeing how this makes it easier if the rope speed is the same on a flat loading zone. Perhaps the old loading zone was too short???

The story is that the old loading zone was in a hole.

There is no truth to the rumor that Liberty is planning to raise the loading point every year until the lift is no longer necessary.
