Going to Utah on Sunday. Any one have any good leads on inexpensive hotels in Midvale or Sandy that they can recommend?

Thanks

Shoot, if you wanted to ski at Alta/Snowbird, stay at the Snowpine lodge on the mountain -- they have a special for $59 per person per night, including breakfast and dinner. That's for a dorm room; private rooms start at $79.

places in midvale are cheap... i know ive stayed at the quality inn for like $65 a night or so this same time of the season before. i like it cause there is stuff to do in town rather than the limited stuff to do up the canyon for the many hours you arent skiing. I think snowbird has some sweet deals on lodging and tix right now.
you are definately picking a sweet time to head there! interlodge is in effect right now actually which is a good sign of mass dumpage. altho it could last for days in which you can't even ski!

At this point I'd take that deal at the mtn. and save yourself the trip up & down the canyon every day. I stayed at the National 9 Discovery Inn in Midvale for a weekly rate of $251 incl tax w. microwave, frig, & cont breakfast. This is not as convenient as it used to be. The UTA buses from there (7200S) no longer run all day, just 2 very early going up & 2 very early going down. I drove myself to 6200 S Wasatch about a 10 min. drive to catch more convenient buses. I'll be back at Alta for a few days starting tomorrow or Wed. PM me if you want to join up.
