Here is a good deal if you like skiing Copper or Winter Park and to a limited extent Steamboat in CO. Wonder how many other "good deals" are out there now, or will be advertised soon?

Good idea, Colonel! As this season ends (for many of us at least), it's time to look ahead to saving money on the snow in 2009-10.

Snowtime (i.e., Whitetail-Liberty-Roundtop) has announced that it's keeping its early-bird season pass rate at $399. Assuming that the Mountains of Distinction program will continue, that deal includes 50% off midweek prices at Wintergreen and Seven Springs, plus several ski areas out of the mid-A.

My wife and I are heading up to Steamboat which is offering free ski passes with hotel reservations April 1st thru April 12th (closing day). Made the reservations about a week or so ago --- wasn't planning on it but, when I saw the prices I couldn't refuse. Five nights lodging and four days ski passes (for two) came to $585 complete (that's at the Rabbit Ears Motel in downtown. Could have done it for about $125 less elsewhere!). Got the plane tickets for $200.80 each roundtrip out of Pittsburgh into Denver on Southwest which has no added fees for skis or extra baggage. Did a priceline 'name your own price' and got a full size car for $22/day. Whole deal came in just under $1,200! And, about 3-4 ft fresh snow over this week.
