Well, after I was about ready to lose all hope for winter here in the mid-atlantic it looks like we may actually get a few inches of the white stuff over in the WV highlands and at least a few days of colder temps.

Let hope it sticks around for a while!

I'm the Rodney Dangerfield of No pay F-casters...I tried to tell you all many days ago (weather thread) that I put in an order to the old Man (Winter) for a return to Winter starting Today which should Hopefully last 2 to 3 weeks...the order is starting off right & I'm keeping my fingers X'ed that I'm going to get my "Prayers worth"!...

You should be working on your 1st Patient David...The Thread you started!..Looks like there are some Ill folks on it right now!

Speaking of Rodney Dangerfield, and he was awesomely funny, I remember one of his jokes...I can't do it any justice here, but you have to visualize him doing it..." Yeah, I was an ugly baby. In fact, I was so ugly, that when I was born, the doctor slapped my mother"..."I get no respect"...
Now about that weather...lookin good for a few weeks according to long range forcasts.

It looks like Herb the Skiing Weatherman would agree that the next two to three weeks will be below normal temp wise. Unfortunately, it sounds like warm weather will be returning to bring in February... gotta get it while we can!

Snow is back!! A few inches already with it coming down hard. Looks like we may be extremely cold middle to late next week also.

Let's hope Accuweather is right with their forecast of up to 8" of snow this weekend for WV!

The squalls must have been aimed just right at Davis -- I just measured 8" on the ground here.

I have a long weekend trip planned for WISP on the 29th of Jan. It looks like next week and the week after will really max the place out on trails and snow conditions. I hope any thaw can wait until Feb though so we have good conditions for our trip. (Seems like I'm down to one longer ski trip a year now instead of many small ones and a longer one)

I was really surprised to see that map from Accu this morn...that is the very most optimistic f-cast out there. I would think that you would have to have that strip of snow that goes from western North Dakota down to PA move set up a little further south for us (SS to 7springs)) to get that amount. I'm watching the radar begin to show this setup starting & am hoping to see a shift south otherwise we will be in the soup till later in the day Sat when it changes to snow.

Canaan has beat the f-cast before....come on Magic land!... I'm hoping to ski the aft session sat in snow!..def be light snow for the night skiers...

Yeah, I'm seeing rain/snow/mix for Saturday at the moment, about an inch of glop.

Tonight should bring another 2-3", so tomorrow's skiing should be great.

Snow showers all next week, so lets hope it amounts to something.

At HV today (Thurs) and it's been snowing non-stop --- several inches of fresh powder have already fallen. M18's have been going non-stop as well. Skiing today was sometimes challenging with the cold weather, snowblowers and variable conditions but it should be great come tomorrow and this weekend.

Man... these five day work weeks really KILL me. Looks like I'm gonna miss the good stuff by one lousy day.

Do you guys think Whitetail would be far enough north to stay mainly snow tomorrow - or should I head further up in PA?

So is a storm going to hit snowshoe this weekend? Will it be snow or rain?

Hm... yes... I was also considering Blue Knob as well. My only reservation about them was their lower trail count (and an additional hour of driving).

Does Blue Knob get very busy on the weekends?
