Oh wow. Was it the new Peak to Peak one??

**Just checked, it wasn't the Peak to Peak. Looks like no one was hurt (as of the time of the article)

Thanks for the article with excellent pictures. Sort of looks like the top and bottom halves of the pole were held together by some sort of collar. The pole does not appear broken or snapped, more like something lifted the top off the bottom half.
Glad all were safe!

Weird stuff. Thankfully no one was hurt. W-B would have been really screwed if it was the Creekside Gondola since that is the only lift that serves that base area. That would have made for an ugly situation for all those who paid for Creekside accommodations.

Apparently water got into the pole, froze, and then popped the top half of the tower pole off (right where there was a flange between two halves). Pretty crazy.
