So I've been watching ski cams, every resort here in TN or NC is opening this weekend, Snowshoe with 20 something inches of snow already and nothing, I mean NOTHING from Winterplace.

No website updates, no teasers, no mention of anything really other than check back soon. I bought my weekday ski passes a couple of weeks ago and haven't heard anything.

Being that I've never been sitting here at the start of ski season anxiously waiting like this... is this NORMAL? for Winterplace? I know the weather hasn't be very favorable for them, but still... no word? no buildup? whats up?

Ok... I gotta say.. that was a FAST response!

Within hours... Winterplace updates its site with snowmaking & a projected opening date!

now the dissapointing news... not opening until Dec. 12th!!!! I was SO counting on skiing dec 1st & 2nd but I guess I'm SOL

I believe that the projected date is now to open on Dec 6th.
Website still reads the 12th though.

Hopefully they'll open to the top on opening day. They had pretty impressive snow piles 2 weeks ago.

OPEN - Saturday & Sunday, December 6th & 7th from 9am to 4:30pm (rates -$29.95)
Closed - Monday, December 8th - Friday, December 12th.
Reopen - Saturday, December 13th - Friday, December 19th from 9am - 4:30pm (Early Season Discounted Rates are in effect).
