some neat spots found and sought out while hiking/bushwhacking in the canaan mountain backcounty this chilly weekend.

south fork of red run.. fairly easy to get to since it follows pointy knob trail for a while.

an amazing waterfall on red run... my pocketcam does it no justice. can barely see, but there are little drizzles of water across all the shelves that look like a twinkling christmas light effect or something.

Chimney Rock. the second highest spot on canaan mountain. (pointy knob is the highest by a little) a few miles of bushwhack to get to it, some a little steep, but well worth it.

one of the views from atop chimney rock. looking east across the valley at weiss and bald knob

Awesome pics. Haven't heard from you on here for a while (I've been keeping up on mtbr though). I am supposed to be doing an overnight trip out Red Creek Trail on Saturday. Looks like it is going to be a wet one. Hopefully I can get a few pics.

BTW, I love the youtube vid....
