Although we didn't see it in the mid-Atlantic , this was an amazing year for snow and skiing in the US. I wonder when was the last time there were such widespread seasonal snow records in both Western and Eastern states??
This pair of articles from Firsttracks convey the extraordinary story.
Sugarbush, VT record: http://www.firsttracksonline.com/index.php?name=News&file=article&sid=4360
Western US records: http://www.firsttracksonline.com/index.php?name=News&file=article&sid=4361
I know from my own travels that Quebec broke snow records too.
