Dolly Sods webcam
December 25, 2007
ahhh finally - back to the perfect veiw - you can see all 3 areas now.........even MPC.....although the clouds seem to be rolling in now
didn't notice..the 815 am pic was obliverated with snow dumping...can't seem to get it updated since then..
my camera of choice is the pointy knob webcam. (doesn't one of the members here run it?) I noticed the camera is zoomed a little now, which is neat, but for the most part I like that you can see the ground and the fence right in front of the cam too, so its fairly easy to see snowfall amounts
The snow blows off the field & into the woods though...so its hard to tell...Like right now by looking at all the cams, they are all socked in the clouds. TL Cam shows a couple of inches of new stuff sitting on the railings from todays little mini clipper.

I saw that too. I got pretty excited until I refreshed it and was pretty much clear. Weird huh?? It is a balmy 43 here in NYC right now....and just as a side note, I got the obligatory "Does it even snow much in WV" today. It never fails, always here it at least once when I mention that I ski...
GRRRRrrrrrrrr!!!!! wish em all a Snow friendly WV WHITEOUT!

just carry a printout of this around to explain about mountain ranges and lake-effect snow..

Yea, or blind fold them and drop them off in the Sods sometime in January. Go back in 2 hours and ask them where they are. Almost a guranteed: "Canada somewhere, I think I may have even seen a polar bear."....
Thats the spirit!!...Long live the Alpps!
Yah, I do like that Pointy Knob webcam as well. Logged on to it this morning to see a nice deer posing by the fence! Very cool.
