You gotta love Snowbirds camera placement:

This is a picture of a combined NOAA and Snowbird Snow Gauge. Go to the Snowbird Ski Area home page to get the details.

The gauge is mounted on a movable post that keeps up with the snowfall..considerable at Snowbird. It is lighted at night.
