Well, I had to go back to the beginning of history, almost, for the answers to you question Tucker. You see, just after global warming killed the last dinosoars and right before the pistenboullie era, all of the skiers of the day were off piste. Being an off piste skier (riders hadn't bin invented yet) as you can imagine consumed gobs of energy. After a day of off piste skiing, the skiers would drag themselves u p t h e s t e p s t o t h e t i m b e r s p u b and plop down at a seat at the bar, order a beer but fall asleep before the barkeep could bring it to them because they'd been off piste all day.........sooooooo, my young friend, i'm not perfectly clear on this, but i suspect the tradition of the long waiting period b/4 the service of beer at timbers is to make sure the skier is piste off and not off piste because serving the off piste skier is just a waste of beer
