heh I hear ya man! I timed myself doing a 5K on the treadmill at the gym today maintaining 85% max HR, and it took me 32 minutes. a co-worker who is a "runner" said, 16 minutes is what most "runners" shoot for. Obviously Im not a runner

16 minutes is a time your top runners in high school strive for. Now, for the average joe, anything under 25 minutes is good, under 20 is outstanding. One of the kids I coached who is now at VT is doing a 5k in the mid 14s. I'd be lucky to do it in 35.
