I want to report that I am back (from bypass surgery last summer). My latest trip was the annual party of the SkiVT-List internet group at Stowe last weekend. A friend took this sequence capturing 3 linked turns in the Stowe woods.

Nice spring pictures. For some reason your post made me think of this:

Hope springs eternal in the human breast;
Man never Is, but always To be blest:
The soul, uneasy and confin'd from home,
Rests and expatiates in a life to come.

An Essay on Man, Epistle I, 1733

Looking Good Denis!
Are you always on X-country boards?
Hope to ski with you next season.

Ah Colonel, those are far from XC boards. They are Volkl Explosivs with a 95 mm waist mounted with Hammerheads* - a great telemark set up for lift riding, although pretty heavy for skinning up. They would be absolute dogs on flat terrain. For making turns, I have never owned such a powerful ski.
