Planning on taking a ski trip sunday...Only problem is, im gonna be by myself...the little lady has to work...next problem is I dont own my own ski's YET...so im going to have to rent them...

My question is, should i hit up TL or CV on sunday...TL is a bit more expenisve, but it might be a bit more crowded as well...Any advice...Maybe i can rent ski's somewhere besides the resort???

Rent at ski barn! We did that for a year before buying our own and it was much better than at the resort.

With good snow, for a non-expert skier I might also choose CV but there are good reasons for either place.

t-line generally has no crowds on a Sunday. Most folks head out by noon. The only sunday's which are crowded are holiday weekends. CV has no crowds, period. If there is fresh pow-pow, it's my choice for freshies.

When my son and his buddies used to rent equipment, I think they went to the outfit that's now in Canaan Valley Stores. I also recall it was cheaper than at the resorts.

I've skied both places...I like TL, but last time i was there, it was packed and the lifts kept breaking down and you were stuck in lift lines forever...Both resorts seem to have 99% of the trails open...CV has Gravity open finally, and TL has the drop and OTW open...

Where is this "Canaan Valley Stores" Ive never heard of it...

I'll be at Tline on Friday and CV the rest of the weekend. There will be untracked freshies throughout the weekend at CV for those in the know. I can be bribed with Nattie Lights to reveal those stashes (:^O)>>>

I'll even do better than Nattie lts.... but I have skiied most of the downhill available, off piste as well. We ought to hook up sometime.

Redman,

Can I get in on this bribing action? You tell me where and when this saturday, and I'll show up with a six-pack in hand!

I usually get going between 10:30 and 11:00 and ride the quad. Since you can generally get 5 runs per hour I'll be getting on the lift about every 10-12 minutes. BTW, I got plenty of the Nattie so it's all good. The more on the freshies the better!!! (:^O)>>>

Sweet. I'll look for you at the bottom of the quad at CV between 10:30 and 11, then. I'm a two-planker, I have a goatee and will be wearing a dark green columbia jacket, orange and black horizontal striped hat, black pants and purple boots.
