Going out west for the first time in January... I'm so excited after skiing for 20 years on the east coast only!

Question to help this rookie though - what's a good way to get from Salt Lake City airport to Park City?

I would prefer to not rent a car (have heard the bus system is great), and if we can avoid it - one of those transfer buses where they drop off everyone in their mother and it takes forever (its just my husband & I going). If we could find a small one... that would be good... (???)

We are staying at the Marriott Mountainside and unfortunately they do not offer a shuttle.

What about a Taxi Cab?

Other??

Any help is much appreciated!!

Thanks in advance

Afraid I have no recent first hand experience, but this website offers $25 each way, which seems pretty good:

About 20 years ago I took a shuttle from the airport to PC and it was a 12 or 14 passenger van. But only My group of four and about three other people were on it, so not many stops and pretty direct. It is true, once at PC no car is needed because of free town shuttle. Also there are fairly affordable day-bus trips to Alta or Snowbird if you want to try that once (highly recommended if you're going to be out there for a full week).

I used All Resort Express last year:

And I was glad I did. I arrived late at night during a snow storm and would have dreaded driving to PC in a raging storm. Unlike rental cars, our vehicle had snow tires and a driver who knew the roads like the back of his hand. He was telling me which lane to drive to avoid the cars that were spinning off the road (we witnessed about 18 accidents). Once in PC, the free shuttle system works great.

I used Xpress and was satisfied, but it was a nice sunny day . Looks like there are plenty of choices. Make sure your hotel or condo does not offer a free shuttle though.
