Sen. Byrd has announced that funding for FY2007, to be contained in an omnibus continuing resolution passed when Congress reconvenes in January, will not contain any earmarks, WV included. I am not sure where that leaves CH funding since it could have been included in a the regular highway appropriations bill but at least for now there will be not special treatment given Byrd's programs in the general appropriation bill.
