For some reason many of my "favorites" disappeared and I lost the reference to the subject page.

If you click a little closer to the "k" in Slaty Fork you can locate 4444 ft. elevation.

That puts you on the other side of the lake! If you want the 4848' elevation of Snowshoe, that's at (38.3953, -79.9925). Unfortunately, I can't get that pinpointed exactly on the website since the click forecast has rather coarse increments. That's how I arrived at the previous URL as the next best point to use -- it's about 1/3 down from the top of the mountain, near the "Flume" trail.

I actually sample the data at several points on the mountain directly from the NWS XML forecast feed, not the clunky web forecast. The XML feed allows resolution of about 1/10th mile, which is quite a bit better than the website!
