Ok so it's not like it's a lot but the first snow you see of the season is always exciting.

For the last 5 days, the weather people kept saying we might see some flurries Thursday night. For me, at least, it was one of the first times they were right.

I went to my back deck around 9:30 last night and there was a small dusting covering the deck. 30 minutes later, it was gone as the winds became so strong it blew it off.

I live in Woodbridge. Anyone else get that dusting? I almost put my skis on to stand in it.

I live near the ole bay (Chesapeake Bay) in southern MD. I saw the weather forecast for flurries in my area. I saw nothing at all but temperature dropping fast was all I could be a little bit excited about.

Got flurries in Fairfax but it was blowing too hard to settle. There were pockets where wegot some nice snowy balsts but nothing stuck. Awesome to see it though.

Got about 4" in Canaan with deep drifts. Skied up Whitegrass this morning and found some nice skiable trails. Some of the trails are groomed.

You think only 4"'s fell...but because of the blowing off of the snow into the Drifts & woods you didn't realize that it really snowed 6.2 inches at the valley floor & 7.2 at 3715'. That was up to 7am this morn..it snowed off & on all day up there!

5 miles east of 7 Springs, near Trent PA, elevation 2075 feet:
we probably have 3.5" on the ground, but dang it's cold - 13.3 degrees at 10:50 PM.
