For those of you who suffer from summer seasonal depression (like me), here's something that's not about global warming to pass the July days by :

Tacky soundtrack but otherwise, thank goodness for YouTube.

That was a good little video. However, is it just me or did that guy have a problem with pole plants with his right arm?

Most of the heli shots seem like double fal lines; he's using right turns for line control and left turns for braking.

Except for the segment at 4:37 or so.

hey man I am enjoying the summer immensely - hitting the trails every chance I get on my Giant Trance 3. I will have some mongo lower body strength (augmented by heavy lifting 2x a week) and so far 15 less pounds to tear up the slopes come december.

live in the present!!!!(and take advantage of the fact that while vermont kicks our ass in the winter we blow them away in the summer)!

Sound track did suck very much, but the skiing was great. BTW I think I could of done a better sound track than those guys.

Well since i am so special I can actually post videos up of people i know . Here is one of some girl I met by her almost running me over. Besides the fact she like to huck huge cliffs, she was great to chase around to get out of my comfort zone alittle bit. The cliffs will come soon enough for me. I give you one of snowbirds best Molly Baker

Very nice! I really like the face plant she did on the first jump. The pitch she came down around the 1:19 mark was extremely impressive too.

Anybody else got any cool photos/videos to post? This should just be a general message board for that sort of stuff this summer.

ps- incidentally, if you browse around that website there's a preview for what looks to be a pretty sweet ski video coming out in September: http://www.adventurefilmworks.com/index.html

And just in general, it looks like the ultimate "summer doldrums" website! It's gettin' me pumped for the KC-Breckenridge powder runs that are on the way this winter...

Another summer doldrum cheer-ya-upper. I remember someone posted this from last year so how about a trip to the South Pole? -78 and blowing snow:

http://www.wunderground.com/global/stations/89208.html

Seeing a forecasted high of -56 almost- ALMOST- makes me glad it's late July in Kansas. Almost. Well, not really. Okay, not anymore. But for about seven seconds I appreciated warm air.
