TR near Seven Springs, June 17th 2006 Day 136 on skis.

Well after a trip last year to location that I am only going to say is near 7S and very hard to find. Me and one of the instructor at Hidden Valley decided to do it again.

Left the Fox Chapel area of the burgh around 8, arrived at springs at about 9:30, didnt find our spot till 11. even though I went last year, there are 5 and 6 way intersections that are very confusing and easy to get lost on, couple that with last year we had to hike a mile, this year we ended up lucking out drove right up to the "location".

Kinda of dissapionted last year at this time the snow pile was 3 times larger, but we still had 30 - 40 feet of snow to work with, and it had a little quarter pipe on one side.

This has got to be the longest season in the history of Pa. I first skied oct 25th after the Wilma Snowicane, and Now on June 17th at springs. Thats almost 9 months if I can figure out August and September, I might be able to make it a full year

So here are the pictures,

Thanks for the interesting pictures. It would appear this was a large half pipe. What is going on in the background at the lift terminal shown on photo 154?

And where pray tell is Santa's Workshop? And the fact that you went to the North Pole explains the snow!!

Perhaps its the snow piles one can sometimes see on the hillside above triple creek road. Above the retention ponds. ???

Enjoy it now, it will be the last time you ski it. Santa's Workshop and all of Herman Dupre's private property are being fenced in as we speak. There will be no access soon. It's been going on all winter and spring...another reason I had a feeling we were being sold. Herman has been readying himself, totally seperating his land and the HKD Snowmaking facility from Seven Spring's property.
