Was at Roundtop last night, paying some dues by skiing the freezing rain. Real thin crust that was carvable since it sat on top of a pretty dense layer, areas that hadn't seen traffic were not the best lines. The crust help shield the snow, so no real loss when it flipped to straight rain early in the morn. WT should ski ok, Bold D is gonna be open, but don't expect to find any type of 'freshies' out there, wasn't that type of storm.

I was at WT on thursday morning this week and they had just opened Exhibition and it was like skiing down a pile of gravel. The ice chunks and ice rocks were terrible - only my second day out and I think my skis need another tune up! Anyway I really cant complain about it WT was awesome - well I guess anytime we can ski out here before christmas is awesome.

This post might come too late to affect your plans, but I was up at Whitetail Thursday AM as well, and the runs off Whitetail Express had beautiful coverage and great snow. It snowed intermittently through the morning to freshen things up; all in all it was one of the better days I've had on the front side. I was the first paying customer up the Expert's Choice lift and took the first run down Exhibition of the season! As posted earlier, it was pretty icy with some gravel mixed in, two runs and we were back to Angel Drop, Home Run and Limelight with great conditions. Switched to skis halfway through the morning, grabbed a free "group" lesson (two instructors for two students) and just generally had a great time. Strongly considering sneaking back for a half-day tomorrow if I can finagle permission.

Quickie post. Conditions pretty good on green terrain, lots of loose granular. Uppe Angel drop variable between lumped up granular in mounds and lots of spaces of scraped off ice. Terrain park was great. About 4 decent sized hits and some rails. The landings were pretty much perfect.
