OK, my last mountain biking post until the snow melts. I actually thought I would get a ride in up in the Valley this past weekend but Mother Nature had 15" of fresh snow flown in to make me reconsider. Now that I have put skis to snow for the first time this season I loaded my trusty Blur on the top of my truck and brought her home to cruise the milder trails of Northern Virginia.

Now the crossover part of this post. While putting skis to snow this Saturday at CVSP, I ran into JR Nolan of Blackwater Bikes fame. JR has sold his interest in the bike shop (I assume to Roger) and is now the Director of the Canaan Valley Resort ski school. I have had numerous positive experiences dealing with JR over the past 3 years at BWB. I bought 3 bikes from him, and he helped me sell a fourth. Anyway, he's good people and I'm happy to see he is staying on in the Valley. We've never had any experience with the ski school at Canaan, but it will be interesting to see what JR does with it.
