Feeling rather hateful!

Just wanted to let everybody know that today I am feeling rather hateful of all of you guys/girls out there who actually got to ski/board/slide on the gorgeous white stuff that was all around for the last few days. Now that time has come when I can get out and ski down, it is almost 70 degrees in PA and not feeling quite like skiing in these conditions right now! Slush should be in my drink, not under my feet! It is November already! IT SHOULD BE COLD %^&$& IT!
Have a good day everyone! And don't let my terrible mood spoil the euphoric feeling we all should have after sking at the end of November!
nah! na, nana nah!!!
File this in the 'Misery Loves Company' drawer: Instead of spending T-Giving weekend in the mountains (MY mountains
) skiing; listening to the wind whisper through my pine trees; listening to the ghosts of skiers past speaking only to me; feeling the way that the 12 degree temps (Thursday night) make the inside of your nostrils tingle - instead of those things, I spend the weekend in Va Beach visiting the in-laws. I checked the altimeter on my GPS and it read 23 feet, and that was in the upstairs bedroom.
This weekend, I'm skiing even if I have to dodge rocks.
Gah! I hate this warmness.
And it only makes it worse when the weather people talk about it like it's the greatest thing ever.
I guess we need to keep this in perspective - this IS the mid-Atlantic, and it IS still November. Plus it looks like cold temps will return Wednesday - the temps should support snowmaking beginning in the wee hours of Thursday AM, and Fri looks cold enough to blow snow all day.
Really nice!
Thanks for that!
I suppose I asked for that kind of taunting!
Yup this weekend past was a special treat and I am grateful i was able to participate; so are my family, friends and co-workers who would have had to put up with me if i hadn't.
I saw on TWC yesterday that DEER VALLEY's opening day is scheduled for December 3rd. What a great season we're in for here.
Im sorry .. I have ONLY had 5 days so far this year
I'm a bit salty right now myself. I got 3 great days in this weekend, but now am down for the week with blistered shins. My new liners did not come in from Salomon yet so I skied with my packed out liners. Wasn't a problem until yesterday sweating in the 60* temps and pushing slush all day in a sloppy fitting boot. Took my boots off to find a huge blister on each shin. I can't even put a boot on today...hopefully by the weekend
So, at least it's crappy weather while I'm out for the week.
Matt,
Fat ski's make that slush a breeze. Need to get yerself some Blizzard Titans!

Temnperatures will not be cold enough for snow making unitl
Wednesday evening.
The slush was no problem. The problem was packed my out boots and the sloppy fit. My new liners aren't due in until ~10th. I just hope I can be ready to ski again by Wed/Thur.
Hey Taylormatt, asked a couple of instructors and Bushwacker about you this weekend but no luck, Did talk to an instuctor at the ski check area and he mentioned his shin burn, you?? Anyway good luck and hope to some day run into ya. BTW I'm very happy
with the quad and calf soreness. Yea, a new season!!!
Nope, wasn't me at the ski check. I was clinicing until 11 Saturday then when they dropped the ropes for NF, we stopped clinicing and bombed it until lunch. After that I worked with my 8 year old niece the rest of the day.
Sunday I was flying around on our little 120 cm learn to ski rentals. Those things are a blast, you can really lay some trenches in them.
On Weekdays, I'm the only Matt there and fairly easy to find as there's only 20 or so of us there full time. Weekends are another story.
Guess who got first tracks before they dropped the ropes?
heh heh heh
Why you son of a....
You need to call me when the good stuff happens.
I saw you guys on those things at the bottom of tyrol lift they looked redicolous
. I should be there again sunday, maybe this time I will actually get to ski with some of you.
Assuming that get their base back and are open. Or should i say jsut open I could care less about thiness of cover it just makes things more interesting.
BTW Taylormatt I PMEd you about liners.
Hmmm, wasn't my group at Tyrol, there were a few groups out on them. We introduced them to the weekend part timers for the first time this year. Last year the direct to parrallel classes were only during the week. We were on NF, and Wagner most the time. Riding the 6 and Wagner quad (#3). We might get the guns on late tonight, but definitely Wed night onward at night. We'll be fine for the weekend.

Now why would I do that?
