Just wanted to let anyone know, who might be interested, that Timberline ski school is offering a Snowboard Team for boys and girls 17 and under. We are looking for young snowboarders who are interested in improving their freestyle and freeride skills. Training sessions will be held every Sunday from 9:30 to 12:30 p.m. throughout the season. Some of our training will be geared toward participating in our terrain park events. Some of the training will also be geared to learning how to maneuver around the mountain more easily and efficiently. So we will be learning to play in the bumps, the trees, and on the steeper stuff; last year, after some practice and skill building, Off the Wall was one of the teams favorite runs. All of our training will be geared towards having fun and respecting other skiiers and boarders. There are no "try-outs" but we do ask that applicants have some basic riding skills. Riders need to be able to connect turns on blue terrain. Training sessions for the entire season will cost $200 and all active team members can get a season pass for $85 plus tax!

For more information contact the Timberline ski school desk (1 800 snowing) or shoot me an e-mail at tuckergarten@yahoo.com

Just wanted to give a quick correction and an update. The price for season passes for active Timberline Snowboard team members is $95 plus tax and the registration for the team members is still $200 for the entire season of training. We are excited about the new season and seeing some new faces on the team. We should have a small terrain park up and going before Christmas, and you can check out our Rail Jam series and other Terrain park events on the Calender of Events on the Timberline Web site.
