Just came across this article online. They will be logging BK State Park using a helicopter to remove the timber. The helicopter is being used because the slopes are two steep for traditional methods. Anyone know how close this is to the ski slopes?

Most of the logging that's taking place within BK State Park is not near the ski area. There is only one small logging area that's located about 1/4 mile away from Jack Rabbit (Bunny Hop) ski slope. The logging is being conducted to salvage about 500 acres worth of timber that was blown down by one of the Hurricanes that hit the area during Sept. 2004.
