Timberline testing the guns
November 19, 2005
The heck with testing, let them rip!!!! The weather looks like they can almost blow straight through Thanskgiving!!!!
Looks like more than testing. Notice the piles going up salamander.... With the way they like to make a thick base, I would imagine that they will make until the window is gone.

The weather looks great. The outlook is really optimal. The forecast at 3200' looks good enough to blow every day. As long as the humidity works in the snowmakers favor we'll all benefit.
Looking at Dolly Sods Cam today it appears they are blowing from top to bottom on White Lighting. Canaan appears to be blowing on a few lower trails, they are suppoased to open late next week. Not sure they will make it. But, if TLine can keep this up through the weekend the long term forecast looks great. Maybe they can open earlier than Dec. 8th.

Even if they wait til 12/8, the place should really BE ROCKIN FOR Opening Day
I wonder if they have the guns going on sally as well. Usually they're invisible from the cam.
You're right you cannot see Sally. But, if they are blowing on White Lighting I would think they are getting the best Green in the Mid-Atlantic ready...
I just wish they could blow snow on Sliver Streak and Off the Wall!!!
This kind of proves my point about Timberline and the early season. While 7 Springs, Wisp, and Snowshoe are blowing snow on a substantial amount of terrain with the idea of bagging an early opening date, Timberline tests its guns.
Seven Springs has had their guns off since about 7:30 today.

I think it's more than a test. They don't "test" for 3 days straight. I think they are going to keep blowing as long as they can.
Ok Doug:
Thanks for the insight. Maybe T-line will prove me wrong...
From the dolly sods cam it looks like they're still blowing. Think this could be the final exam, not a pop quiz?
I thought the TLINE web cam is supposed to auto update every 5 mins or so...
Whats up with it...They gonna wait till season is in full swing to fix it? anyone know?
