Only if they can open North Face Slope.

I was actually hoping more for Wisp because of its proximity to T-line. I really only intend to make the drive, however, if they can get some significant terrain open. From past experience, I am not a huge fan of the early season in the Mid-Atlantic (or New England for that matter). But prices are generally ok and I've had some truly excellent skiing at 7S in early Dec. The 7S slopes have been picked pretty clean of rocks so I've never suffered any serious edge damage there. They don't need a big base to have some nice skiing.

Well it looks like we aren't going anywhere over T-day weekend. Took all skis/boots into Ski Center this weekend for release check, summer wax off/ winter wax on. The place was a madhouse. Best we could get was 2 weeks turnaround.

I'm not happy and into my 'I told you so' loop 'cause I wanted to take the lot in earlier and get it done with but was out voted.

[Sigh] Life is tough when you are a weather weenie and no one believes you.

I am thinking about it if they open North Face and my schedule opens up. It seems though that they have given up on making snow. Perhaps their weather service is predicting heavy rain Tuesday/Wednesday from the storm on its way up from the south. Accuweather says no real cold till Tue/Wed night with rain/sleet/snow posible.

I'm easy to spot...I'll be the only guy with the old "regular-sidecut" skis

Mein uber-frau has decreed that we'll be spending T-Day at her parents house in Va Beach, so no skiing this weekend for me

We will be at the Springs on Dec 3.

PS:
Any word if they're still shooting for a Nov 25 opening? The webcams are looking fairly grim at this point.

I'm spending T-Day up in Central PA with family. If they open (I haven't been on a computer in days, so I don't know the status of anything) I'd like to stop by Blue Knob since it's directly on the way home. In the more realistic scenario that they are closed but 7S opens, I'll probably go the extra distance and be out there.

I'll be there. Red 7S uniform, the new black & yellow Blizzard X Cross 11's, black helmet.

I'll probably be busy clinicing most of the day, but will likely get some free runs in. Just follow the deep trenches, I'll be at the end of em

I hope to give my new Head Monsters a try out on Saturday the 26th. I wonder if Wisp will also open?

Just got the e-mail that said that they are shooting for an opening day of the 25th. I too will not be attending, but we are planning for an early to mid-December trip probably on a Sunday and Monday.

This is what I get for reading websites too quickly after a long day of work. BK isn't aiming for a super-early opening; they plan to open their store. I'll be a 7S on Friday. Depending what I pack, probably in a blue jacket.

Should we have a meeting time/place where everyone can get together?

Just checked the 7s homepage and noticed 28 degrees on the weather box. Taylormatt, have the guns come on? Can you let us know when they start firing again?

Maybe the wind is too strong to justify turning on the guns?

I'm not right on the mountain, but judging from the cams as of 8:50...they look to be on. I'd drive up and see personally, but we've been tipping 'em to ULLR in the hot tub for 2 hours now <EG>

Just doing my part to insure we all have a good season.

Looked at the cam at 555 AM and they seem to have blown a reasonable amount of snow overnight. Thanks for the reports people. Hopefully, no rain tomorrow, only snow.
