I have a friend that I'd like to visit during the winter, who maybe patrolling part time at Montage Mountain. I have never heard of the mountain, googled it today, sounds like a pretty stereotypical mid Atlantic ski hill. 120 acres, 1000' vert, 100% snowmaking. Is there hidden secrets that people may be willing to share, or horror stories that I should be on the look out for?

Thanks in advance

I haven't skiied it in about 10 years, but from what I can remember it is pretty typical. If you do blues and greens, the vert is only about 500'. To get the full vert, you have to ski the top which is blue to the blacks and then to the bottom. I was never much impressed with it. I preferred Jack Frost or Elk.

It is set up wierd cause the parking lot lot is in the middle of the mountain. They have one good run called White Lightnin. It has a short steep section, which is very similar to Lower Shays Revenge.
