I was there last weekend, snow cover is pretty good, a few bare spots on the north side (not roped off when I was there) and the crowd was pretty small. Its been pretty warm so expect some creamy snow, if not some slush. All the bumps were groomed out when I was there, not a slush bump to be found! Get there early when the ice changes to cream, by lunch its wet and slow but still quite enjoyable!
If your staying in Somerset try the Italian Oven (rt. 31) for good, cheap food, and the Pine Inn (across the street from the Holiday Inn) for good, cheap, Bayou type stuff.
