The official West Virginia Corridor H website has posted a notice that the Baker to Wardenville section of Corridor H is now scheduled to open in the spring or summer of 2006. So Brad's pessimism about the previously scheduled fall 2005 opening was warranted. http://www.wvcorridorh.com/route/map8.html

On the brighter side, I believe there is also new info on Moorefield to Forman, with two segments of that route having gone under contract for construction this past month.

This so disappointing. I think it was mentioned that the contractor is now paying penalties until the project is done. One more season of looking at a road that is pretty much done.

It was posted publically in the Moorefield examiner that fines for the company C.J. Mayhan out of Ohio who is building the McCauley bridges, is around $8,900 per day. The expected total fines is estimated to hit around 1.5 million by the time the bridge is complete.
