Has anyone out there skiied either of these places in the Spring? I'm looking for someplace local to NOVA that is offering lower-priced 'Springtime' lift tickets, and both of these places do. Any insights are greatly appreciated...

If you want to go to massanutten the best way to do it now is to find a season pass holder to go with. They are giving $10 lift tickets to anyone who comes with a season pass holder

Been to both in spring, can be a lot of fun at a good discount. Massanutten's "straight down the hill" more difficult slopes served by Rebel Yell double chair and Paradice quad chair lend themselves very nicely to spring conditions. Sometimes the spring special prices bring out big crowds on nice weekends at Mass., but the quad chair always has pretty reasonale lift lines.
There should be some good fun at Wintergreen too. It skis bigger than Mass (despite smaller vertical) if all the terrain is open. Crowds are sometimes a problem there too on good weekends throughout the winter.
