I wanted to drop a quick note that the Moorefield Examiner, our local newspaper, ran a frontpage story due to the constant delays of the construction on the McCauley bridges, the new expected opening date of the Wardensville to Baker section will at earliest be spring 2006, but more than likely summer 2006. Currently the contractor on the job, C.J. Mahan from Ohio, is running severely behind on the project. WV Department of Transportation is already imposing fines of $3,000+ per day starting August 15 until the date of completion. The fines against the company could reach over 1.2 million dollars.

As of now, the Lost River Sinks Bridges are complete including lanscaping having been completed as well. I plan to have pictures and an article available soon.
