Under the terms of the agreement, Mount Snow Ltd. will continue to draw water from sources at Haystack

I took my PSIA Level 1 exam at Mt Snow last year and the intstructors where talking alot about the relationship between Haystack and Mt. Snow. Apparently Mt. Snow wanted to expand the mountain but did not have the water source to support it and could not acquire the water (from building a new pond or whatever). Mt. Snow purchased Haystack because it had a huge water source and they could build a system to pump it over to them. In the process, Mt. Snow got what it wanted and never put any investment into Haystack. On weekends, Haystack was the equivalent to Silver Creek.

Now they are selling it and still get their water. Very convenient.
