Late Season snowmaking

I just noticed that in the "Pic of the Day" on the Wintergreen website that there are snow guns running in the background! Snowmaking at a Virginia resort on March 9th! Unbelievable.

Interesting that it's one of the old snow blowers. I suspect they're using those for spot snowmaking in the flats, and areas exposed to more direct sunshine. Regardless, it's great to see, and consistent with promises I heard from Wintergreen in late February.

Conditions do look great down there.
