Just like flu shots, an annual binding check is extremely important to your winter health. The springs on bindings occasionally need to be tightened and should definitely be checked before you hit the snow. Also, if you've gained or hopefully lost weight, your din settings may need to be re-set. The best place to have this done is at Ski Center and Ski Chalet. Be sure to bring both your skis and boots when you go in because the boots are necessary for the release check. Also, ski bottoms tend to dry out after many months in storage: a wax job might also be in order.

PS I don't work for any of these stores, but I do find them to be convenient and very helpful.
