Harris Teeter Snowshoe Deal
February 4, 2005
On the bargain tracker portion of this site, it states that Harris Teeter has a promotion in which those with VIC cards can receive a buy one get one free midweek lift ticket at snowshoe.
However, the phone number listed is no longer connected.
Furthermore, on the Harris Teeter website, it states "Save up to $18." But a weekday lift ticket is still over $40. So why doesn't it say "Save up to $45."
Just curious if anyone can explain this who has used this promotion in the past or plans on using it this year.
I take a particular interest in this thread, because I'm the guy who sent the email to Scott pointing out that Harris Teeter was running the special deal again this year.
Not only that, but the special appeared in the Harris Teeter flyer that was stuffed into the Food section in last Wednesday's _WaPo_. Sure enough, it proved the same phone number, 1-800-441-4386, and the same "Save up to $18" claim.
I don't know what to make of that.
thanks for the reply twin. I'm heading to the Shoe next week... we'll see what happens.
I had ordered a Harris Teeter card online, but it has never arrived in the mail. I plan on stopping in Statesville, NC and picking up one if it doesn't arrive in time.
Hopefully Harris Teeter doesn't know how to do the math on a midweek ticket.
I did just figure out that Harris Teeter put the wrong phone number on their ad, it should be 1.877 rather than 1.800. Furthermore, I called the Shoe and they said it was good for day, night or twighlight... They mentioned nothing about an $18 cap.
I just sent Harris Teeter an email suggesting they revise their advertising. They responded that this was a test on their part to see who was paying attention, and that because I was the first to write them about the error, I have won free lift tickets for life at Snowshoe.
The first sentence is true.
As always, there was a Harris Teeter flyer in the Wednesday Food section of the WaPo. The ad for discounts on lift tickets was there, but now, the phone number has been changed. It is 1-877-441-4386. The claim of saving up to $18 has not been changed. The deal is not valid on February 21, 2005.
Thanks for pointing that out.
I used my Harris Teeter card this week at Snowshoe. Everything worked perfectly... 2 tickets for $49. No such $18 cap.
