Smuggler's Notch Today, 20 December

I just got off the phone with my brother who is at Smuggs today. The temperature at the base is -14 F and at the summit, -20. The mountain, however, received 4 inches of new snow yesterday, so conditions are good. Oh, and the trails are certainly cold enough to hold the groom well into the ski day.

The old adage about New England weather is true this week. The current arctic weather will change to warm temps and likely rain this Thursday; after that, some more cold weather.
