Will the drought impact snow making capabilities?

Is this going to be a problem? Other places are worse, but could/should snow making be restricted some?
Southern resorts and eastern Mid-A through eastern NE might have some issues. The West is in drought especially CO and UT. It could be another lean snow year for the west. So far Western PA has not been a problem. See you at Laurel. :~D
I just hope WinterPlace has good coverage Christmas Break. We got a place slopeside there then.
Yea, typically in western PA and surrounding areas there's usually enough water on the approach to the ski season (the short season that it is). (usually) decent rains in the late summer/early fall provide a good starting point. Then it's just a matter of judicious snowmaking at appropriate intervals so that you don't drain it out in one fell swoop. We often complain about not enough snowmaking during sustained cold snaps, but it is a sort of fragile game to play...
