Where will you be on the 18th? I plan to make furst turns at 7S. But I will go where ever the snow be the bestest.

Alright ladies and gentle men, place your bets. The Shoe, Wisp, and 7s are usually the best early options. Any dark horses out there?

You should probably add Whitetail, Liberty, Roundtop, Wintergreen and Massenutten to the poll.

hmmmmm.

well, there's finally hope for a session at WhiteGrass, which has hosted my first turns of the year the last couple seasons. Me and some buds plan to earn 'em, even if it's marginal, I'd be happpier than a pig in slop to just run laps up and down the main slope from the lodge.

Denis, you gonna be around?

but, if the forecasters screw the pooch once again, looks like a trip to Elk Mtn, predicted opening of the 15th.

Plan to be at Roundtop as soon as possible, only thirty minutes from door to slope, don't know if they'll open up during the week, or wait till the wknd. Will probably be there Sunday afternoon for sure after some mtn bike related activities.

Canaan Valley for me. I've got to believe Timberline and CV should both be up and running next weekend with the weather predictions I've seen. That valley is abnormal when it comes to lake effect snow. You can run all the way out 50 without a speck of white but as soon as you crest that last stretch up 42/93, the ground is covered with the stuff.
