Whitetail Offers Fly Fishing

First there was skiing. Then came mountain biking. Now, starting this spring, Whitetail advances its quest of becoming a full-fledged year-round resort by offering a fly fishing school. Aspiring anglers will be able to take one- or two-day clinics where they will learn necessary skills such as fly casting, tackle selection, terminology, and knot tying.

Dusty Wissmath, a professional fly fishing instructor and guide, will be directing the school. Dusty began guiding fishing trips in 1973 in Wyoming as a student at the University of Wyoming. He earned a degree in Wildlife Biology and later attended graduate school. Dusty is a Federation of Fly Fishers Certified Casting Instructor and a professional member of the American Mountain Guides Assocation.

In addition to offering standard clinics, the school will offer special programs such as Women’s Fly Fishing Clinics, Couples Clinics, Clinics on Bass and Panfish, Saltwater Fly Fishing, and Advanced Casting. For more information, contact Whitetail at (717) 328-9400.
