Want to go mountain biking at Whitetail? You’ve got until this Sunday. On Sunday, October 26, 1997, Whitetail’s mountain biking season will end as the resort prepares for the upcoming skiing and snowboarding season.

Whitetail invites mountain bikers to visit the resort through this weekend to enjoy the fall foliage and cool temperatures. Whitetail offers over 30 miles of mountain biking trails, ranging in difficulty. On Saturday and Sunday, the Whitetail Express lift will shuttle bikers to advanced terrain, or hikers to the top of Whitetail’s 1,800 foot mountain, where they can take in a three-state view.

Whitetail is selling their Cannondale rental fleet at the end of the season. The bikes were purchased new at the beginning of the season, and were maintained throughout the season. Cannondale F700 front suspension bikes will be sold for $550, while the full suspension Super V700 will sell for $850. The full suspension V900 will sell for $950. Those interested in purchasing a bike should call the Whitetail Mountain Biking Center at (717) 328-9400, extension 255.

Whitetail’s Fly Fishing School continues; classes will be offered by appointment after October. Call Dusty Wissmath at (717) 328-9400, extension 131 for more information.
