Through the end of the ski season, Pennsylvania’s Jack Frost and Big Boulder are offering free lift tickets for visitors staying at the resort’s townhomes. Homes must be booked at the regular rate for a minimum of 2 nights to receive the offer. An open to close lift ticket will be given to each person staying, up to the maximum occupancy of the home.
On Saturday, March 24, the 3rd Annual On-Snow Hillclimb will be held at Big Boulder, with competitors racing up a slope on motorcycles and ATVs.
A snowmobile race will follow on March 25 at the 2nd Annual Uphill Snocross, featuring a hillcross, snocross and drag racing.
New 2002 Polaris model snowmobiles will be on display, and 2001 models will be available for demoing.

Spring is here, which means many winter sports enthusiasts are heading to the slopes for infamous pond skimming contests and other springtime fun.
Over this past weekend, Whitetail Resort held its annual Pond Skimming contest, emceed by Jimmy Alexander of MIX107.3 FM. Among the winners: Mike Hamby for “best crash.”
Ski Roundtop also had a busy weekend, with Spring Fest 2001. John Reuben and Audio Adrenaline provided musical entertainment into the night.
Liberty Mountain Resort will hold its Spring Fest next weekend, on Saturday, March 17. Hawaiian cuisine will fill the stomachs of visitors as they participate in (or safely observe) the pond skimming contest and other games.
